In the April of 2024, I took a solo weekend trip to NYC. It is my favorite city to visit and just wander around in. No itinerary or plans needed, just walk around and explore what the city has to offer.
On this trip, I ended up exploring the newest section of The High Line. If you’ve never been to The High Line, I highly recommend it. The first section of the park was constructed while I was living in NYC. Over the years it’s fun to return and see how much it has grown and expanded. It’s one of the best free ways to see the city.
While walking on the new section I noticed the Empire State Building creeping up from the buildings. The angles, the lighting, and the classic fire escape made for a composition of the city I wanted to capture. The best camera is the one you have on you, so I used my iPhone to capture the image as best I could.
Hidden Landmark was taken in April 2024 near Hudson Yards in NYC with an iPhone 13 Mini. It has been edited in Adobe Lightroom.
